Famine in Flames
Day 2

In spite of the heavy fighting the day before, the combatants were all determined to
continue the struggle. They repaired their ships, and rallied. The efficient Marine repair
depots worked overnight. Anla'shok awoke in the morning to find their leader
destroyed, and vowed revenge. They stocked their ships and took off to join the
Marines.

G'kar reported the worst hangover since freshman year at the academy, and vowed
to quit partying with John Shreidan til the wee hours and give up Thevian Brandy.

The Marine Armada, joined by Anla'shok Shock Troops, again massed on the borders
of Thevian, and began a drive into Willow space. They again laid siege to a Willow
planet. But the Willow repair crews had been just as efficient, and a Willow fleet
launched to engage them.

It appears the Willow defenders were outnumbered by about 3 to 2. But they drove
hard into the Marine/Anla flanks. Again, ship to ship fighting flared.

The planet attack was disrupted. The mighty war fleets began probing through
space, trying to find each other. The fabric of the Shareplay metaverse strained,
messages could no longer consistently get through subspace. Drones, Forces and
Planets fell silent for some fighters. This only added to the confusion.

The fighting raged from sector to sector. The squadrons broke apart and reformed.

From battle to battle. They wheeled and dove their ships into the hail of fire.

The planet was saved, but the toll was horrific. Willow lost their hero of the night
before, garut, and their Warlord, fate. The Marines lost the highly ranked and skilled
Warzone, and the fearsome fighters Ozymandous and Montana_Mike.

Warzone commented, for the record, but again, it cannot be printed. He did threaten
to start posting his comments in audio on the web board, but we pray this
doomsday threat will not come to pass.

Willow had held, though outnumbered, and it appears they were holding back a
reserve. A second Willow fleet emerged and headed for Creonti space.

This brings us up roughly to the present in Famine, the Universe in Flames. I have
not chronicled the innocents lost to the massive forces laid by the combatants, or
the other brush wars flaring on the fringes of the universe. The dreaded Unforgiven
and the Formidable Sneezy Syndicate are sitting on the edges. Who knows what
they have planned. They cannot be sad to see the death and destruction their rivals
are wreaking on each other, but they have not spoken. Many other alliances await
the outcome. The war is so bloody, and so draining, that whoever wins will be
weakened. The Unforgiven has dissolved all NAPS and is again roaming the universe,
proving their reputations as the most fearsome of hunters.

This chronicle will continue as events unfold.
