During the mid-80's, Amazonia became an accomplished player in Trade Wars 2002, the game that Space Merchant is based on. She first joined Space Merchant in late January, 1999, with her first game being Famine (25). Amazonia joined the United Federation of Planets alliance, and within a matter of weeks, she joined the command staff. By enduring a month long assault on UFP by the Unforgiven Cartel (UC), she learned survival skills by necessity. "Am" was promoted to #2 in charge, and as Deputy Commander, she learned the value of inter-alliance communication and negotiation.

Amazonia proudly joined Yellow Moon shortly after Hybrid (37) started. As a founding member of the Harass the Guys alliance, she finished Big Newbie 2 (38) ranked at #9, finished Big Newbie 3 (39) ranked #5, and was a member of the Amazons R Us alliance in Newbie Ship Test (40). She also belonged to C.O.O.L. in Big Newbie 6, and took on the dreaded HotA as a member of Project X in Greased Lightning. Am was also a member of the exclusive Speef-Killers in Famine.
