has been involved with computers and programming since the early 1980's, where she led a Kansas City area computer support group for four years. She was the CoSysop of a long-running and popular Kansas City Bulletin Board System, assisted a local hospital in developing software for a disabled-persons support program, and had works published in national computer magazines. As a group manager for Delphi/KC, Gay maintained KCUR-FM's schedule site. She joined Net 2 Business, LLC in February 1997, where she developed and managed websites through early 2001. She has been involved with the development and adminstration of websites for for a variety of businesses, organizations and individuals which include a veterinarian, commercial leasing, a pet cemetery, schools, churches, a furniture store, seminars, cryotechnology, candy manufacturing, a photographer, health care, an artist, and employee assessment. Gay is experienced in HTML, JavaScript/dHTML, Perl/cgi, and MySQL and has set up and managed e-Commerce systems for several websites. She has also developed applications using the 3D Gamestudio game engine. She has been a member of The HTML Writer's Guild since 1998, and is also a member of Girls in Games (formerly the Women in Game Development Virtual Development Team), and networks and collaborates with internet programmers and game developers around the globe. |
